The Journal of Best Available Evidence in Medicine (JBAEM) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access journal published by Open Science Press (London, United Kingdom). The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for the publication of high-quality research that advances evidence-informed healthcare and promotes the generation, appraisal, synthesis, translation, and implementation of the best available evidence in medicine and the health sciences.
Focus and Scope
JBAEM welcomes submissions from all areas of clinical medicine, surgery, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, medical education, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, implementation science, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and related disciplines. The journal publishes original research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, evidence syntheses, clinical practice guidelines, methodological papers, consensus statements, editorials, commentaries, case reports of exceptional educational value, and correspondence.
The journal is particularly interested in research that strengthens evidence-based clinical practice, improves patient outcomes, advances healthcare quality and safety, and informs healthcare policy and decision-making.
Open Access Policy
JBAEM operates under a Diamond Open Access publishing model. All articles are immediately and permanently available online without subscription barriers or article processing charges (APCs). Neither authors nor readers are charged any fees for submission, peer review, publication, or access.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their published work. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence, which permits users to copy, distribute, adapt, and reproduce the work for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.
